The category choices are bugging me with this one, because it's properly an editorial piece, but I can't find anything like that to put it in. I suppose this will have to do.
This was entirely the brain child of photographer Jeff McLain, who wanted to make a visual commentary on several things, including self-esteem issues and eating disorders. Though I am the model whose face you see, this isn't actually about the fat woman in the mirror. It's about the thin woman who thinks she sees a fat woman in the mirror. Think about it.
